Fame Shame Blame Game - 2014 at Breakneck Gallery
In 2012 we began working on paintings together. We wanted to explore the current events we were seeing on TV, like greed, outsourcing jobs, GMO's, overuse of prescription drugs and more. In September of 2014 we had a show with 14 large paintings called "The Fame Shame Blame Game" at Breakneck Gallery in Lakewood, Ohio. The paintings were large, 36" x 36", except one that was 48" x 36", acrylic on canvas, and were done in the Pop Surrealist style.
Below are eight of the paintings from that show. Click on each to see an enlarged view.

Here There Be Monsters - 2016 at BayArts
In 2015, Gary and Laura Dumm, decided to tackle the environment along with current news stories and do a series of large paintings (most 36" x 36" acrylic on canvas).
We used iconic movie monsters, who were often the by-product of corporate greed and human egotism manipulating nature to spawn our own annihilation to present the consequences of climate change, genetic engineering, pesticides, loss of pollinators, air/water pollution, global warming, deforestation, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, animal extinction, genetic engineering for profit, destruction of animal habitats, and extinctions.
Our goal is to make these paintings educational tools. If anyone is interested in showing them please contact us at artcat12@sbcglobal.net
